Carrie Fisher revealed that she thought John Travolta is gay

Carrie Fisher was once married to Bryan Lourd who she had to divorce after he came out to be gay. According to sources, Fisher saw John Travolta as a closeted gay man like her ex-husband and once talked in an interview about the Broken Arrow actor’s sexuality back in 2009. She said,

After John Travolta sued a publication for publishing false rumors about his sexuality in 2010, Carrie Fisher was asked about her take on the incident and she said,

Wow! I mean, my feeling about John has always been that we know and we don’t care. Look, I’m sorry that he’s uncomfortable with it, and that’s all I can say. It only draws more attention to it when you make that kind of legal fuss. Just leave it be.

However, John Travolta has not come out as gay (as of yet) and was married to Kelly Preston for almost 29 years before she passed away in 2020.

John Travolta talks about the Star Wars actress after she passed away in 2016

Carrie Fisher passed away in 2016 due to a cardiac arrest and Hollywood mourned the loss of one of the greatest actresses in the industry. At the Golden Globes award in 2017, John Travolta opened up about Carrie Fisher’s death and revealed how he felt a part of his history was gone after the Shampoo actress passed away. He said,

“Carrie and I kind of became famous around the same time. I was doing the movie Carrie when she was doing Star Wars, and Kotter[Welcome Back Kotter] was already on the air. I kind of felt like I grew up with her. We had similar eras of becoming discovered, so I feel like a bit of my history is gone.”
