And with his list of films that he has worked on, it’s natural for him to come in contact with other stars from the industry, whom he has either met or worked with in person. Although he has been part of films with many prominent names, it seems that there is one particular star that Jackman is wary of, especially when it comes to his wife working with him on a project.
Why Deborra-Lee Furness Won’t Let Hugh Jackman Work With Angelina Jolie
While many people might not have seen them together in the public, Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness have been happily married couples for the last 25 years since they had their wedding in 1996. And to this day, they have been able to maintain this relationship, though it seems like they have had to maintain a strict set of rules to achieve it.

During their interview on Australia’s Today show, Furness was asked if there is any Hollywood actress that she wouldn’t let Jackman be in a project with. Without hesitation, the Correlli star was quick to bring up the name of Angelina Jolie, who was Brad Pitt’s wife at that time. During the interview, she said:
“I’ve told his agent he’s not allowed to work with Angelina. I’m sure she’s very nice and I love all, what she’s doing for, shining a light at the UN for adoption. I’m just kidding.”
Although it was meant as a joke, Jackman hadn’t been on a project with the Lara Croft star before this comment and has not been on one after it.

Why Deborra-Lee Furness Will Never Work With Brad Pitt
While the aforementioned condition had been levied on the Prisoners star by his wife, he was not too concerned with it as he understood that it was a joke while also understanding that rules need to be in place for a marriage to work. Thus, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the star responded by saying:
“Deb and I have been married for 20 years. We have a lot of rules. We’ve very balanced. So she said that – as long as she doesn’t work with Brad Pitt, we’re cool.”
Thus, the sweet couple stuck to their word and followed each other’s wishes to still be the happy family they are now.
