Annie Wersching Passes away after a 2-year long battle with cancer

After making her debut in 2002’s Star Trek: Enterprise, the actress rose to stardom through her performance in 24. Annie Wersching then went on to garner more prominent roles in substantial shows like Marvel’s Run Aways and Star Trek: Picard throughout her 2-decade-long career.

The actress was first diagnosed with cancer in the summer of 2020, but it didn’t stop her from working, as she kept on acting throughout her illness on projects like Star Trek: Picard. But the actress’ eventual passing after a two-year-long battle with cancer was finally announced through a gofundme account, which was set up to raise funds for her family. Her husband Stephen Full confirmed the tragic news by stating,

“There is a cavernous hole in the soul of this family today. But she left us the tools to fill it. She found wonder in the simplest moment. She didn’t require music to dance. She taught us not to wait for adventure to find you. ‘Go find it. It’s everywhere.’ And find it we shall.”

Besides being a talented actress, Annie Wersching was also known for her performance as Tess in Ubisoft’s Magnum Opus. The actress added a new dimension to the character of Tess through her vocal performance and her acting for the character through the use of motion capture. With everyone saddened by the loss, Neil Druckmann too shared a heartfelt message on the loss.
