However, soon after its release, the picture sparked numerous questions when it was subsequently removed from the archives of major photo agencies. The alleged reason behind this action was the claim that the image shared by the royals had been altered.
The agencies have pointed out several discrepancies in the image, notably focusing on Princess Charlotte’s left hand. Additionally, observers have pointed out inconsistencies in the alignment of the sweater pattern worn by Prince Louis and blurring around Princess Kate’s hair, and zipper, among other discrepancies.
CBS Mornings Discusses Kate Middleton’s Controversial Photo
The controversy surrounding Kate Middleton also made its way to CBS Mornings, with their correspondent Holly Williams reporting directly from the Buckingham Palace. She highlighted the statement shared by the Princess of Wales herself on X (Twitter).
Middleton later admitted editing the photo in her statement, as she apologized for “any confusion” caused over the family photo. “Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing,” she said in a tweet before adding, “I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused.”
