Ben Affleck Confirms That Jennifer Garner Has Nothing To Do With His Previous Alcoholism
Ben Affleck talked about his journey throughout and how alcoholism played a big part in pushing him back. He was in a horrible place in his life and it happened to coincide with his marriage with Jennifer Garner.
“The idea that I was blaming my wife for my drinking. To be clear, my behavior is my responsibility entirely. The point that I was trying to make was a sad one. Anyone who’s been through divorce makes that calculus of, How much do we try? We loved each other. We care about each other. We have respect for each other.”
In an interview, he had talked about it and was taken out of context by almost everyone. People believed that Garner was responsible for his alcoholism and addiction. He had to come forth and clarify that this was far from the case. He confirmed that Garner had been very supportive of him and was there for him. They still are there for each other despite both of them moving on in their lives. He has since been careful of everything he says and makes sure it cannot be taken out of context.

Ben Affleck confirmed that no matter what happened in the past, now he is in a much better place and he has his wife to thank for it.
“It’s hard. But anyway, so [Jennifer Lopez] tells me today, ‘Relax, be yourself. Have fun. You’re actually a fun guy who is real and genuine and you just seem so serious.’ Do I seem serious? But as in many things, she’s really right. And she loves me. She’s looking out for me. She’s trying to help me. So it’s like, maybe I ought to fucking listen to her.”
He claimed that Jennifer Lopez often tells him a lot of things and is always on the lookout for him. She cares for him deeply and enjoys taking care of him.
