In a thrilling collaboration, Marvel and Microsoft have revealed an exclusive line of Xbox controllers inspired by Ryan Reynolds’ upcoming film Deadpool & Wolverine. The highlight of this collaboration is the ‘Cheeky Controller’ meticulously crafted to mirror Deadpool’s iconic posterior.
Considering another Marvel character, Captain America, is famously known for having “America’s as*,” fans are now demanding a Captain America version of the Cheeky Controller.
Microsoft Launched Special Deadpool ‘Cheeky Controller’
Microsoft has recently revealed the new controllers inspired by Ryan Reynolds‘ Marvel character Deadpool ahead of the much-anticipated film Deadpool & Wolverine.
Revealed on Xbox Wire, Microsoft described it as a blend of style and comfort, saying, “Cheeky Controller channels Deadpool’s buns of steel in its firm (yet surprisingly comfortable) grip.”
The controller, designed by the Merc with a Mouth himself, will be available exclusively through sweepstakes for fans aged 18 and above. Participants worldwide can enter by following Xbox on social media and retweeting the official sweepstakes announcement.
Gamers also have the chance to win custom Xbox hardware, including a unique Deadpool-themed Xbox Series X and stand, complete with foam replicas of Deadpool’s katanas, Bea and Arthur, along with two Xbox Wireless Controllers.
Adding to the excitement, the first 1,000 purchases of the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 Core, from Microsoft stores, will receive an exclusive Cable Guys Deadpool Holder by EXG Pro to enhance their gaming experience and setup.
Fans Demand Captain America Edition of ‘Cheeky Controller’
Amid Microsoft’s homage to “Deadpool’s buns of steel,” fans of Marvel’s superhero Captain America are now clamoring for a similar ‘Cheeky Controller’ dedicated to the patriotic icon.
“We need a Captain America version,” one fan said, reacting to the news while humorously dubbing it, “America’s controller.” Others also chimed in with more suggestions, saying, “We demand a Captain ‘America’s As*’ PS5 controller.”
Many quipped how Reynolds’ Deadpool has seemingly overtaken Captain America in the “America’s as*” department. Reynolds, who has embodied the character since the 2016 action comedy film, is set to return with Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in the upcoming threequel.
