Currently, nothing sounds more interesting than the social media buzz that started after YouTube star Logan Paul beat former MMA star Dillon Danis by disqualification on Saturday. Engaging in a match at AO Arena in Manchester, Paul simply defeated Danis via disqualification, after he tried attempting mixed martial arts moves.
This bizarre match descended into a farce after Dillon Danis was disqualified in the sixth round. The former MMA fighter ended up embarrassing himself twice in his professional boxing debut against Logan Paul. And certainly, this dramatic build-up ended in an insulting boxing showdown, leading fans to sarcastically seek a refund.
Logan Paul Defeated Former MMA Star Dillon Danis
Former MMA fighter Dillon Danis tried to make his professional boxing debut on Saturday against YouTube star Logan Paul. Appearing to have a match at AO Arena in Manchester, Danis and Paul engaged in a dramatic build-up. The YouTube star began with aggressive moves, while Danis simply tried to get him tired.
From the very beginning, Dillon Danis refused to engage with Logan Paul and survived a barrage of punches, while looking for an opportunity to counterattack. But Paul simply proved to be a better boxer, despite Danis avoiding to take the fight seriously. The former MMA star, instead tried taunting Paul, during the third round.
Throughout the match Logan Paul landed 108 shots compared to just 16 from his opponent, Dillon Danis. Thus, eventually finding it difficult to fight back within the rules of boxing, Danis attempted an MMA takedown of his opponent, which led him to get a warning. But yet again, Danis tried an unsuccessful guillotine.
His embarrassing MMA attempts simply led Danis to get disqualified in the sixth round, with the fight ending comically.
Fans Want Refund After The Embarrassing Showdown
The match between Logan Paul and Dillon Danis turned into an embarrassment, despite initially having a dramatic build-up. The former MMA fighter’s attempt at injuring Paul with his MMA tricks ended up turning the entire match into a comedy. Even Paul jokes about Danis’ dodgy tactics. “He’s supposed to be good at jiujitsu, what happened bro?” the YouTube star stated.
Well, it’s not just Logan Paul who had a good laugh out of the match. Even fans described the bout as embarrassing. Uploading bits and parts of the match on social media, fight fans unloaded their sarcastic comments on X. Fight fans were less than impressed with the farcical scenes and urged to never allow Dillon Danis back into a boxing ring. Few fans even sought a refund after the comical fight.

In the end, it appears as though Logan Paul was hellbent on winning especially after the emotional turmoil Dillon Danis had inflicted on Paul’s fiancee Nina Agdal in the build-up. But unfortunately, Paul didn’t get to have a proper fight, as Danis never took the match seriously.
