For the unversed, there have been a lot of discussions around Ryan Gosling‘s Oscars performance in the last few months. Gosling was making a lot of headlines and everyone wanted to know if the Canadian actor would be performing at the biggest award show of the year.
Jimmy Kimmel who hosted the Academy Awards ceremony for the fourth time last night recently appeared in an interview with ABC News and talked about how Ryan Gosling was lying to people about his Oscars performance. He said,
“It’s a big production and Ryan takes this stuff very, very seriously. It’s funny because I think Ryan was lying, for a couple of months leading up [to] when he said, ‘Oh, I haven’t been asked to sing,’ That’s untrue, he had been asked.”
Ryan Gosling performed his Oscar nominee I’m Just Ken song from Barbie at the 96th Academy Awards last night. Although the star was not able to win the Academy Award for his song last night, he definitely won the hearts of all the A-listers present at the Dolby Theatre with his incredible performance.
A lot of different stars including Margot Robbie, Greta Gerwig, and Emma Stone also became a part of Gosling’s performance as they chimed in with a line each from the song.
Eva Mendes teased Ryan Gosling after her husband’s astonishing Oscars performance
Ryan Gosling gave one hell of a performance last night at the Dolby Theatre and stole the limelight of all the Oscar winners for a few minutes as he performed alongside Mark Ronson, Andrew Wyatt, Simu Liu, and many others.
Until he gave his absolutely stunning performance of I’m Just Ken at the Dolby Theatre, Ryan Gosling was not having much of an enjoyable evening as the Canadian actor had lost the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor to Robert Downey Jr.
After the La La Land actor’s incredible performance, his wife, Eva Mendes took to Instagram and shared a hilarious post asking her husband to come back home. The American actress was wearing Gosling’s iconic pink jacket from last night and paired it with a black cowboy hat. She wrote,
“You took Ken all the way to the Oscar’s, RG. Now come home, we need to put the kids to bed.”

Unfortunately, I’m Just Ken lost the Best Original Score award to the other Barbie nominee, What Was I Made For? by Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell. It was Eilish’s and O’Connell’s second Oscar Award after the duo won an award in 2022 for No Time to Die.
