There’s no doubt that Tom Hardy has been hailed by all as the Marvel supervillain Eddie Brock, aka, Venom. From his gritty performance to his bulky build that enhanced his character, the English actor delivered a striking depiction of the feisty alien symbiote.
Sadly enough, Hardy’s acting was also the only good part about the movies; it’s no secret that Venom and its 2021 sequel in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe were met with negative critical reception and a torrent of complaints from fans. So, as Marvel braces for the release of its new action-adventure video game, Spider-Man 2, fans want the studio to fulfill their vehement longing that it failed to in Hardy’s films – to deliver a Venom so terrifyingly wicked that it leaves an indelible imprint on them.
Spider-Man 2 (2023) – Marvel Fans Want An Invincibly Evil Venom
Developed by Insomniac Games in collaboration with Marvel Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment, Spider-Man 2 is the latest installation in the critically acclaimed Spider-Man franchise. Based on the eponymous superhero from Marvel comics, the forthcoming video game is set to feature Peter Parker (Yuri Lowenthal) and Miles Morales (Nadji Jeter) as they trot across the streets of New York City to fight their adversaries.
With Tony Todd’s Venom confirmed to make a villainous appearance in the much-anticipated PS5 game, fans are thrilled, to say the least. But they’re hoping for much more than just snarky remarks and vicious fights. No, what the audience wants to see is a version of Venom so harrowing and unbeatable, that both the Spideys would cower with fear in front of the sentient symbiote.
A Twitter user even went on to say that Venom should be so “haunting to the core” that “Peter [Parker] Peter is intimidated by [him] and that Miles [Morales] is left terror-stricken.” Looks like Marvel fans have a rather vivid penchant for dark storylines.
I want Venom to be a force of nature in Marvel's Spider-Man 2. Something that can't be controlled & haunting to the core. A presence that Peter is intimidated by and that Miles is left terror-stricken from. If we get the slightest hint of that during the PS Showcase, GOTY 2023.🕷️ pic.twitter.com/r2t1rDh6nQ

Here’s what others have to say in light of the same –
Hope the spiders are traumatized after the first encounter and feel a huge relief after he is defeated

I just want a Venom that's actually a villain. I know he became an anti-hero and now a full on hero in the books, but I was never into that.

I want some horror elements in certain sections, especially with Venom, but maybe a bit with Kraven hunting too.

All We Know About Spider-Man 2 for PlayStation
Directed by Bryan Intihar and Ryan Smith, Spider-Man 2 is the third entry in the beloved Marvel’s Spider-Man series and serves as a sequel to the 2018 video game of the same name along with Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales (2020). Besides the two superheroes and Todd’s Venom, no other characters have been divulged concerning Spider-Man 2.
