Recently, industry scooper MyTimeToShineHello posted a tweet in X, revealing the synopsis of what would have been Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. And what we learned from it is not what we were expecting at all. According to the scooper, The Kang Dynasty would have been all about Anchor Beings (Thank you, Deadpool & Wolverine) and that is how the story would have progressed.

In this film, the TVA began gathering Anchor Beings from across the Multiverse, believing they are the only ones powerful enough to defeat the Council of Kangs. Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield were the Anchors for their respective realities, while Tom Holland’s Spider-Man served as the Anchor for Earth-616.

The movie was intended to be smaller in scope compared to SECRET WARS, focusing more on Holland’s Peter Parker, Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, and other Anchors like Nic Cage’s Ghost Rider.

The plan was for all of them to ultimately fail, leading to the collapse of the Multiverse and Kang’s creation of Battleworld. This would then set the stage for SECRET WARS, where other MCU characters and additional Multiverse figures would converge on Battleworld.

As we learned from the latest Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman starrer movie, Anchor Beings are at the center of each universe, and if they cease to exist, so does their universe. And that would have been the focal point of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.

Fans React to Avengers: The Kang Dynasty Synopsis

Many fans were still hoping for Marvel to retain the character of Kang, even if Jonathan Majors wouldn’t play the role. So when Marvel Studios completely changed their plans and brought in Doctor Doom to replace Kang, some fans were understandably a little disgruntled. Most did not want to lose out on a character like Kang, who could have taken the legacy of MCU villains to greater heights after Thanos.

This could have been a pretty exciting way to bring in characters from all over – old and new – and give us something similar to Avengers: Infinity War. And this could have then led to an Endgame-esque storyline with Avengers: Secret Wars. Marvel could still opt to go the same route with Doomsday, as Robert Downey Jr. returns to the fold, but this time in the villainous role of Victor Von Doom.

Avengers: Doomsday is currently set to premiere worldwide on May 1, 2026.
