Fans were afraid that they might never get to see the conclusion of one of the best manga and anime series of all time. However, this announcement has reignited hope among fans.
As soon as Togashi shared the update, fans flooded his post with excitement and appreciation for the creator making a comeback after so long. The series could soon release chapter 401 of Hunter x Hunter and finally end the indefinite hiatus of Togashi.

In a recent tweet, Togashi hinted at the manga’s impending reappearance. Togashi wrote in his post, “No. 405, I’m working on it. Moon healing escalation!” revealing that the chapter is now under development.

The manga went on pause after chapter 400 was published on December 18, 2022, and Togashi’s last update on Hunter x Hunter was in 2023.
Many fans believed that the series would not be able to continue due to Yoshihiro Togashi’s condition. He even revealed the potential finale of Hunter x Hunter, stating that he may not be able to take the series to its conclusion. These conclusions, although they helped fans with their overall understanding of the narrative, were not enough to fulfill their satisfaction with the entire series.
