Immortalizing yourself in the history books of cinema is something that everyone might hope to do, but only a few can achieve it in reality. Among them, Sylvester Stallone is one of the select few who have managed to accomplish such a feat, which has only grown his legacy in the recent past to even greater heights. And as a by-product of that fame and love from the fans, the star has also managed to give the fans exactly what they want, which is most often a new film starring him. With the release of the latest The Expendables 4, the producers shed a little bit more light on this.

In a recent interview with ComingSoon, producers Kevin King-Templeton and Les Weldon talked about the aforementioned film, along with what other new films or additions to the franchise we could expect in the future from the Rocky star. They revealed during this conversation that they were interested in bringing a new addition to the iconic Rambo franchise if the public demanded it, which was also the major reason why the new Expendables film was made in the first place. Les Weldon said:

“You know, it’s, again, it becomes a matter of if, if there is a demand from the fan base, we’ll be the first ones to jump on there, which is why Expendables is happening again. Sometimes Kevin and I will say, “well, I don’t know if there’s gonna be another.” And then the demand comes up, and people are asking, and asking and asking. Buyers are asking, and that was the case with this. And so we took this very seriously to develop this, you know, so that we would do it right. And yeah. And give them something they wanted.”

A legacy that spans decades as well as the iconic performances that made Stallone’s characters immortal is the reason why his films are still so popular in the world today.

Even almost half a century later, most people who haven’t even seen the iconic Rocky series of films know who Rocky Balboa is and what he stood for. This kind of timeless story writing and world-creation is something that only Stallone was able to master and execute with the perfection that people have come to know them with today.

Along with that, every single one of his franchises has had the ability to motivate and inspire the audience in such a way that many films from those times and even today aren’t able to do as flawlessly and impactfully as them, which makes his films a work of art.
