Recently, Hugh Dancy gave an interview to Collider, where he was asked why the fourth season of the show has not happened yet. The actor replied that making a season of a show costs a lot and he is not sure if OTT platforms will be their show’s savior.

“I’m not exactly surprised because essentially, first and foremost, somebody has to write a fairly sizable check. I’m not talking about me being paid. I’m talking about the cost of making a season of television. For a while, it seemed like the streamers were gonna be everybody’s savior, in that respect, but now there’s been a cutoff there. There are shows that are watched by millions of people that don’t make it past a second season. So, I have no idea what that calculation is.”

This was not a shocker because many people are canceling their OTT subscriptions, and the presence of so many entertaining TV Series has made it very difficult for the streaming services to continue with every show it creates, which often leads to series taking breaks for an unsaid period of time. However, fans should not feel that the story will remain untold, as Mads Mikkelsen sounded pretty confident when talking about the future of the show.
