Starring together in 1999 hit movie Fight Club, Brad Pitt and Edward Norton became recognizable faces for the world to remember. Traveling back in time, Brad Pitt revealed that he got high alongside Edward Norton at the premiere of Fight Club.

The duo recalled the hilarity that ensued since this was definitely something that men of an actual fight club would do! Pitt and Norton were laughing at their own jokes since the others were not finding it funny but the two actors were already long gone from the point of control.

Edward Norton and Brad Pitt Got High At The Premiere of Fight Club

Although Brad Pitt already had quite a footing in the Hollywood industry back in 1999, Edward Norton was still a rookie back then. The actor was lauded for his performance alongside that of Brad Pitt as the movie became one of the most iconic movies from the 1990s.

Back then, however, it wasn’t the case so during its initial release. The movie was deemed an okayish movie upon its premiere but found huge success after the release of the home video. Thus deemed a cult classic, Brad Pitt and Edward Norton naturally had to attend the premiere of their own movie while being high.

“For some reason, we thought it would be a good idea to smoke a joint before. The movie starts, first joke comes up, and it’s crickets; it’s dead silence. Another joke, and it’s just dead silent … this thing is just not translating at all. The more it happened, the funnier it got to Edward and I. So we just start laughing. We’re the a—holes in the back laughing at our own jokes. The only ones laughing.”

As the years progressed by, Fight Club was hailed as one of the finest movies ever made and David Fincher’s status as a visionary director remained affirmed.

After his debut in the 1996 movie Primal Fear, Edward Norton was offered a plethora of movies to further his Hollywood career. The next movie that Norton went to star in was American History X.

The movie featured an iconic Basketball dunking scene which explained some pivotal plot points of the movie. During the shooting of the movie, however, Norton revealed that he wasn’t able to dunk the Basketball and they had to adjust accordingly.

“They put me in sweatpants to hide the differential between up here and down here. So I miss. I’m banging the ball up against the underside of the rim at nine feet. But then the worst possible thing: They have to lower it in front of everybody.”

He further continued,

“They lower it, and it’s still not enough. And I’m getting more and more tired. At the end of the day, basically, I put my hand as high as I could reach, they put the rim at my wrist. I’m standing on the ground in that shot.”

With several accolades to his name, to revisit the iconic movie that featured Brad Pitt and Edward Norton, Fight Club is available to stream on Hulu.
