Amy Schumer recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to talk about the new season of Life & Beth, which premieres this Friday on Hulu.
The dramedy focusing on the life of Beth, who starts having flashbacks to her teen self, earned plenty of plaudits for its unapologetic comedy. Accordingly, Hulu took little time in renewing it for a second chapter, which is set to be about parenting and relationships.
While Schumer’s comments on Season 2 of Life & Beth did instill some excitement among its fans, her appearance left many talking about a completely different subject.

Amy Schumer, much like her character Beth, is unapologetic about her life choices and doesn’t shy away from talking about subjects that other celebrities often go to extreme lengths to sweep under the carpet.
In 2022, Schumer told The Hollywood Reporter she decided to get liposuction after getting tired of looking “at myself in the mirror.” The comedian and actor admitted that she realized that lifestyle changes like “grilled chicken and walks” aren’t going to work.
“Everybody on camera is doing this shit, I just wanted to be real about it,” she affirmed.
However, this has led to intense scrutiny from eagle-eyed netizens who seem very keen on spotting every little change in Schumer’s appearance.
As such, when her face seemed to have developed a rounded look during her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, fans came up with some intriguing suggestions to explain how Schumer may be dealing with her “moon face” condition. It occurs when extra fat or fluid builds up on the sides of the face. The condition is often related to obesity.

Honestly it looks like what is referred to as “moon face” a condition associated with long term steroid use. Steroids like prednisone or dexamethasone.

Amy Schumer Waxes Lyrical About Beyoncé and Taylor Swift
During their conversation, the host Jimmy Fallon, also asked Schumer if fans are going to see her doing stand-up anywhere anytime soon. Her last comedy special, Amy Schumer: Emergency Contact (2023), earned a Golden Globe nomination.
Schumer confessed it’s not easy for a standup comedian these days, as they are competing with the likes of Taylor Swift and Beyoncé for ticket money.
“It’s hard to tour right now because who are we competing with? Who has been filling up our feeds? Beyoncé and Taylor Swift,” she said jokingly. “This is who I’m competing with. I love both of them. Did you see them in concert? I went. It is life-changing.”
Much to her delight, Fallon made her “dreams come true” by allowing her to do a set on his show. He also arranged for a team of backup dancers to make Schumer feel like a “star.”
