Adult Swim’s Reason for Indefinitely Delaying Uzumaki

The most recent update about Uzumaki was released on Adult Swim’s YouTube Channel, where they shared the First Look of the series. However, it did not carry any update regarding the release date of the series. The last update about the release date came in 2022 when the official X(Formerly Twitter) account for Uzumaki anime shared a memo regarding the delay.

According to the memo, the series is being delayed because the creators want to replicate the quality of the designs and work done by Ito, thus the directors and the production team had asked for more time. This additional time will help the creators do justice to Ito’s masterpiece and make a series deserving of Ito’s Uzumaki title.

Although the process of achieving perfection has delayed the series by almost two years, Ito and Uzumaki fans would understand the delicate work and focus that the creators will need to do to adapt the horror masterpiece. Fans can only wait and hope that the series gets a release date as soon as possible.
