It’s not uncommon for two top movie stars to butt heads during their heyday, as the ’80s saw Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone going toe to toe after hitting big. Similar seems to be the case for Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise, as for years, it has been rumored that Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt have remained at odds since starring together in Neil Jordan’s Interview with the Vampire.

Moreover, it appears the alleged feud between the two A-listers has once again reignited, and might’ve further contributed to his commitment to pulling off death-defying stunts.

Since the inception of the Mission: Impossible franchise, Tom Cruise has partaken in many iconic stunt sequences, especially since Ghost Protocol. But while many believed his motorbike jump off the cliff in Dead Reckoning couldn’t be topped, it appears that he is once again going the extra mile for its sequel, which an Insider deemed “is beyond dangerous”

The Insider alleged:

He’s had his pilot’s license since 1994 and owns several planes but this is beyond dangerous. What he’s doing crosses the line. A lot of his peers increasingly rely on stunt doubles especially when they get to a certain age, and Tom does do it to a limited capacity, but mostly does his own impossible feats. He pretends to be an action man, but the truth of the matter is he’s risking life.

While increasing the bar when it comes to death-defying stunts seems pretty par for the course for him, his alleged beef with Pitt might’ve also contributed to his decision to take the extra mile.

Tom Cruise Was Allegedly Annoyed by Brad Pitt’s Presence in the U.K.

Although Brad Pitt did put an end to the speculation of them being at odds since Interview With the Vampire after denoting Cruise as a friend a few years back, the feud seems to have rekindled. With Pitt having filmed a portion of his upcoming sports flick F1 in the U.K., the Top Gun star is allegedly annoyed by the presence of his former costar, as he “feels very territorial about the UK”.

The Insider further alleged that Pitt’s collaboration with director Joseph Kosinski, who previously helmed the MI star’s biggest film, might’ve also contributed to their apparent feud.

As far as he’s concerned, London is his home, so people like Brad, who just want to fly in and out to make a movie or take a quick vacation once in a while, are just not on his same wavelength. But it also really sticks in his craw that Brad’s now working with the same director that Tom hired.

While it can’t be said for certain if the aforementioned reports are absolutely true or not, seeing two of the biggest stars of their generation being at odds is nothing out of the ordinary.

F1 is scheduled to release on 25 June 2025.
