However, there are some concerns regarding the capability of Xbox S after the recent controversies regarding the delay of launches of some upcoming games on this specific console. It’s up to Microsoft how they shape things up for a smoother launch of this highly anticipated title.

The Performance of GTA 6 on Xbox Series S Is Quite Questionable

We have seen how graphically extensive GTA 5 was when it was launched. However, the graphical optimization of this game was on another level. Be it a potato system with minimal requirements or a beast with gigantic hardware, this game can be run on any machine.

However, the same can’t be said for GTA 6. In ultra settings, the visuals of GTA 5 look extremely realistic, despite the game being released over a decade ago. Now, the upcoming title is surely going to surpass that stature.

For PC users, it won’t be that much of a problem because every component of the rig is upgradable. The same goes for PlayStation 5 and Xbox X, as they come with superior hardware and are capable of running newer AAA titles at 4K 60 FPS with ease.

The problem arises with the Xbox Series S console. This console made its debut in the market in 2020 and since then has been a great affordable but efficient option. But as this is an older-gen console, this isn’t capable of giving high-end performance just like Series X.

Fans Are Fearing Another Black Myth: Wukong fiasco

After the scenes with Black Myth: Wukong with Xbox, it’s quite evident that fans are pretty tense about the potential of Series S to run the upcoming RPG title. The action-adventured title from Game Science is right now the talk of the town, with more than 2.4 million concurrent players on Steam and more than 10 million copy sales in just three days of its release.

Now, Xbox fans can’t relish this fun as the game is awful on Series S. And as Xbox has a parity release clause (that means a new title has to be launched on both Series X and S simultaneously), the game cannot be launched on Series X yet despite showing promising performance. So, the concern from the fans is quite evident.

According to this fan, it won’t be a matter to Rockstar Games if the biggest title of the company doesn’t get released on Xbox.

On the other hand, this fan thinks Microsoft might skip the launch of the game on Series S.

This fan though thinks after the blunder with Baldur’s Gate 3, Microsoft has learned from its mistake and won’t make another scene with GTA 6.

Fans think Microsoft should drop the parity launch clause with more emphasis on Series X.

According to this fan, Enotria: The Last Song might miss an Xbox launch, but not Rockstar Games.

Basically, it’s up to Microsoft and Rockstar Games both to sort things out quickly as release dates are nearing. Talking about proper solutions, Microsoft should drop its parity clause so that this highly anticipated title can be launched at least on Series X. Rockstar Games should also look to find a way to make the gaming graphically optimized just like its predecessor.
