Jujutsu Kaisen is getting its first console game. Dubbed Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash, it is set to be released on 2nd February 2024. Fans have awaited the popular manga’s first foray into video games for quite some time. The game has been developed by Byking Inc., who have also developed My Hero One’s Justice and My Hero One’s Justice 2, both based on the Shonen superhero manga My Hero Academia.
Ever since the game was announced earlier this year, fans have eagerly waited for any information they can get about the game. Subsequent trailers have progressively revealed more about the mechanics of the game, the story arcs that it will follow, and the characters that will be playable in the game.
What’s all the buzz about?
Reminiscent of other platforming fighter games inspired by Shonen Jump properties (such as Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm), Cursed Clash seems to be an action-packed treat for avid fans of the genre and the story.
Jujutsu Kaisen Cursed Clash released its launch date announcement trailer on October 11th, 2023, showcasing a 3D Action Platformer Fighting Game, featuring beloved characters such as Gojo Satoru, Panda, and Itadori Yuji.
The biggest defining feature of the game is its 2 v. 2 Fighting System which allows players to team up with other players online or locally for grouped battles. This allows players to perform and execute unique combos and develop interesting strategies during gameplay, adding a layer of sophistication to the game’s mechanics. Co-operating players will now have the liberty to not only work with their Cursed Techniques but also leverage move sets and power-ups that might be beneficial for their partner in a particular match-up.
