Two years after he separated from Barbara Outland, Arnold Schwarzenegger got into an open relationship with the then-25-year-old Sue Moray. Talking to The Sunday Times, Moray talked about the terms of their relationship which required her to stay with Schwarzenegger at his house while he was in town. However, the two were allowed to do anything or date anyone else when Schwarzenegger was away.

“When he was in town, he would be committed to me and I would live with him and go to work from his house. But when he was out of town, we were free to do whatever we wanted and to date anyone else we wanted.”

Apparently, this sort of open relationship was a “turn on” for them. Moray and Schwarzenegger went on like this for four years and then he met Maria Shriver. The two got married, had four children and after 25 years of a happy married life, went their separate ways following the housekeeper fiasco.

In the trailer for his upcoming three-part documentary, Schwarzenegger opened up about how his affair with the housekeeper affected his family and his marriage.

“People will remember my successes and they will also remember those failures. It was very tough on my marriage, on my relationship with the kids. I have caused enough pain for my family that I will have to live with it for the rest of my life.”

His housekeeper, Mildred Baena, gave birth to their child, Joseph Baena, around the same time as Shriver gave birth to Christopher Schwarzenegger. The two only have a five-day difference in their birth dates which means that Schwarzenegger got his wife and his mistress pregnant at almost the same time.

Schwarzenegger only realized that Joseph was his son when he turned six or seven and started to resemble him. Needless to say, there might be more details coming out about the whole situation when the Terminator actor comes out with his documentary.

Arnold releases on Netflix on June 7.
