Remember Invincible? The popular 2021 animated superhero series based on Robert Kirkman’s comic book of the same name has taken over the streaming world. As viewers of the critically acclaimed animated superhero TV series, we were introduced to the story of teenage Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun), the son of Nolan Grayson (J.K. Simmons), a superhero who shares similarities with Superman and has seemingly been defending Earth for decades.
Mark is invincible, but what is he without his father? That is the question posed by Amazon Prime Video’s animated superhero series, which now returns for a second season. Yes, Season 2 will finally premiere in a few days, after a long wait. Nonetheless, because it will be available in less than a week, here is a summary of the release schedule, episodes, and other important details.

How Many Episodes Are There In Season 2 of Invincible?
Invincible immediately became a favorite among fans of the genre thanks to its distinctive blend of action sequences, intense storytelling, and a stellar voice cast. With the cliffhanger ending of the first season, fans are looking forward to Invincible Season 2’s premiere.
There will be eight episodes in total for Invincible Season 2, but there is some bad news. According to Dexerto, this year will only see the release of the first four episodes. The second half of Season 2 will be released early in 2024.
Furthermore, the show will air every week, so do not plan on binge-watching the entire season; the first season’s first three episodes were released on the same day, probably to spark interest in the series. We will just have to wait this time around, though, as the upcoming season is receiving a lot of hype.
Based on the trailer for the upcoming season, it looks like the next chapter in the Mark Grayson/Invincible superhero journey will be just as significant.
Release Date And Streaming Details For Invincible Season 2
Fans of the show have expressed their displeasure loudly since Season 2 is finally arriving after a wait of more than two years. Season one of Invincible debuted in March 2021. Ahead of the first season’s conclusion in April of that year, Amazon renewed the show for a second and third season.
Thus, Amazon’s Prime Video has finally set the premiere date for the highly anticipated upcoming season. Created by Robert Kirkman, Invincible 2 will have the following release schedule:
- Episode 1: November 3
- Episode 2: November 10
- Episode 3: November 17
- Episode 4: November 25
The next four episodes, as previously stated, will debut in the upcoming year.
The idea of having to wait until next year for the remaining episodes will undoubtedly give fans a headache. Season’s creator, Kirkman, said in a previous interview with Collider that several considerations led him to decide to divide the content:
“It’s a little bit of the production process just because ramping things up has taken a lot longer than we thought.. And when you see Episode 4 of Season 2, you may need a break. It’s a big episode. It’s definitely a mid-season finale kind of episode.”
The comic book writer, 44, went on to discuss the reason for a long wait for this “extremely complicated” show in more detail:
“This is an extremely complicated show. It’s an hour-long animated series. There are so many characters and scenes. We really had to wrap our heads around how this production was going to be managed.”
According to ScreenRant, many cast members from the first season of Invincible are back for season two. Zachary Quinto, Zazie Beetz, Gillian Jacobs, Steven Yeun, and Sandra Oh are among them. In addition, a few new cast members have joined Invincible for season 2, though it is unknown what their roles will be.
Thus, Invincible Season 2 Episode 1 will be available on Prime Video on November 3. Until then, you can watch the first season on Prime Video.
