Johnny Depp and Amber Heard have made innumerable headlines for their infamous Televised defamation trial. The two celebrities have decided to keep a low profile after the trial, and Depp has begun to make appearances on the big screen through small movies. Amber Heard is reportedly in Spain living in disguise with a fake name, she wants to focus on her daughter and be a better parent.

Amidst this Johnny Depp is delving deep into art, he had already tried his hands at it once when he released the paintings after the trial. They sold out almost instantly for around $4.7 Million total, this definitely motivated him to continue his pursuits.

With more than $4.7 million worth of artwork sold in only one week, Johnny Depp’s second edition from his Friends & Heroes collection has surpassed his previous sales high.

The collection includes limited-edition works by the artist’s Bob Marley, Hunter S. Thompson, River Phoenix, and Heath Ledger. The actors first three were close buddies, and Marley served as a source of inspiration for him. When the actor was asked to comment on it he said,

“I didn’t believe it, it didn’t make sense to me. I’m obviously really touched that people wanted to look a little further outside of my day job as it were, investigating some of the imagery that interests me.

Depp has pursued other forms of creativity on several occasions as well. In fact, he has declared that music is his first passion in the past. He played with both his band and his friend, the late Jeff Beck, a legend of the guitar. Last July, they jointly issued a song with the name 18.

When Depp spoke about his paintings it was evident that he wanted to play tribute to legends he admired. He spoke about how some great personalities did not have enough time on this planet, Depp hopes that through his work he can keep them alive.

“River and Heath didn’t have enough time on this earth, but in the time that they did have, they certainly planted their individuality, their uniqueness, their world, their heart, their emotions, their sense of humor out there into the world so we know them, so they said a lot in their short lives.”

The Castle Fine Arts site almost crashed as his painting went online for sale. The actor has been doing significantly well in life considering the ordeals he has been through for the past few years. He will soon be seen in a Netflix film La Favorite.
