While there may have been no official news that might suggest when the second season of the show will be available to the public, Gunn has another exciting announcement for us. In a recent post made on his X page, the filmmaker confirmed that his proposed DCU project, titled Creature Commandos, has a release date of next year.
James Gunn Announces The Release Of DC’s Creature Commandos
Since the disbandment of the DCEU, James Gunn and Peter Safran have been cooking in the background to come up with a new cinematic universe plan for the proposed DCU. Thus, with the initiating of their first phase, titled ‘Gods and Monsters’, they have made strides in that direction with several new projects.
Along with John Cena‘s Peacemaker being one of those priority projects he incorporated into the new franchise, another DC series has just been announced.

In a recent post on his X page, the Brightburn producer announced that the proposed Creature Commandos, the animated series that was planned for the first phase, has finally received a release date. He highlighted the fact that 2024 will be the year when fans will be able to witness the show with their own eyes.

While we may not know the exact release date of the show in the future, many rumors are pointing out to either mid-2024 or during the fall of next year.

What Will Creature Commandos Be About?
With the release of DCU’s first project, all set to make a splash with the audience, many may be wondering what this group of seemingly freakish individuals is.
They are a fictional DC Comics team of military superhumans originally set in World War II. The team is comprised of Rick Flag Sr, along with Eric Frankenstein, the Bride of Frankenstein, Doctor Phosphorus, Nina Mazursky, G.I. Robot, Weasel, and Princess Ilana Rostovic. In the DCU, the team acts under the command of Amanda Waller.
