Cavill was fired from the DCU as soon as James Gunn and Peter Safran took over the franchise. On the other hand, Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff was killed at the finale of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Things in the MCU are, however, not what they seem.
Elizabeth Olsen is Reportedly Returning to the MCU!
At the end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch was allegedly killed off during the destruction of the ancient structure. Although there were a plethora of theories suggesting how Wanda could survive, none were confirmed or denied.
As per recent news on X (formerly Twitter), Elizabeth Olsen is slated to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in an allegedly upcoming solo Wanda Maximoff movie! Although the news hasn’t been confirmed to be true, the rumor has gotten the people already excited for the return of the Scarlet Witch.

On the other hand, Marvel President Kevin Feige seems to have given further proof to this report as he had hinted that the character of Wanda Maximoff could very well be alive!
Kevin Feige Hints at the Return of Wanda Maximoff
With the end of Wanda Maximoff at the end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, people had several questions regarding Elizabeth Olsen’s return. In an interview with Variety, Marvel President Kevin Feige addressed these questions.
“I don’t know that we saw her under rubble? I saw a tower coming down and a little red flash. I don’t know what that means. There really is so much more to explore. We still haven’t touched on many of her core storylines from the comics.”
Well, it seems that Elizabeth Olsen will be pretty soon seen on the big screens when she returns to the MCU allegedly. Her character, Scarlet Witch, is quite an important character in the arc of the MCU, and it would be quite a tough ordeal to run the show without her. The same, however, cannot be said about Henry Cavill and the DCU.
