It’s been almost a year since Will Smith sparked up a controversy like no other after his infamous Oscar shenanigans, and yet, the incessant gossip about it continues to float around the internet to this date. Innumerable people, including renowned figures, have taken turns talking about it, be it in the form of memes, parodies, or roasts.
When Smith slapped Rock at the Oscars, the latter remained reticent about it all at large. But a year later, the Grammy-winning comedian finally decided to speak up, albeit in the form of humor, but he addressed the incident without any qualms. And as per reports, the Men in Black star is upset that Rock dug up the past after such a long time.
Talking about the whole scenario, popular YouTuber Ryan Kinel shared his hot take with regard to it all and he certainly didn’t hold back.
Chris Rock Addressed Will Smith’s Slap in His Netflix Special
Back in March 2022, when comedian Chris Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s hair, or lack thereof, on stage during the 94th Academy Awards, an offended Will Smith slapped the host in his face in front of the whole wide world. At that time though, the Grown Ups star simply laughed it off as an attempt to get past the awkwardness and embarrassment of the moment.
Up until now, Rock had either been making jokes about the incident or simply avoided the matter altogether. But on March 4, the 58-year-old star finally addressed Smith’s slap in his Netflix comedy special titled Selective Outrage. Ironic much?
And now, sources are claiming that the King Richard actor is deeply “hurt” about Rock’s comments and apparently wishes for him to let go of it all. That being said, Ryan Kinel absolutely obliterated Smith in his alleged reaction to Rock’s Netflix special.
Ryan Kinel Bashes Will Smith And Calls Him A “B*tch”
Kinel not only called out Smith for wanting Rock to “drop” the matter when he’s the one at fault, but he also criticized his sympathy-seeking behavior, labeling it as a “sad and b*tch” move on the Suicide Squad actor’s part. He even went ahead to say that the sole reason why Smith is reportedly getting bothered about the Spiral actor’s comments is that he’s in line to “make his big comeback.”
“This is Will Smith, the guy who sat there and smiled, I guess, while his wife was taking d*ck from another dude half his age. But maybe one of the reasons why these reports are coming out of how hurt he was is because Will Smith was ready to make his big comeback. For a while now, people have been talking, ‘You know what, it’s time for Will Smith to come back.’ He did his Emancipation movie where…I guess that’s one way to get back in the good graces – do a Slave movie, that’ll get the media back on your side.”
Kinel also remarked how Smith must’ve been under the impression that Rock along with the world would gradually end up forgetting his Oscar controversy. But turns out he couldn’t have been more wrong. “He probably thought Chris Rock wasn’t gonna say anything about it,” Kinel said. “It’d been this long, it’s about that time. But Chris Rock waited for the perfect moment.”
The YouTuber then went on to deliver blow after blow on how Jada Pinkett Smith has been nothing but a horrible wife to Will Smith and roasted her for her alleged statement about Rock being “obsessed” with her in light of his recent Netflix special.
