The infamous trial against Amber Heard has bought attention to her past relationship which Tasya van Ree. This Aquaman actress is sued by former husband Johnny Depp for $50 million and Amber countersued for $100 million. Tasya van Ree is an American painter and photographer, age 46 years. Heard and Tasya were in a domestic partnership from 2008-to 2012.
Depp’s legal team questioned Heard for 2 days about her past relationships with James Franco and her arrest for abusing ex-girlfriend Tasya van Ree. Vasquez (Depp’s attorney) cross-questioned Amber about hitting her ex-girlfriend Tasya in 2009, which she denied. Two officers allegedly witnessed Heard physically abuse Tasya.
What happened between Heard and ex-Tasya Van Ree?
After being in a domestic relationship for almost 5 years before same-sex marriages were legalized.
in 2009 Heard was arrested by the Seattle Police after she and Tasya got into a rage full argument where she allegedly struck Tasya. Heard was arrested and not charged with domestic violence.
In 2016, Van Ree came forward and claimed, that the actions were ”misinterpreted” during the argument between the couple in 2009. Her Statement given to E! News, began.
“In 2009, Amber was wrongfully accused for an incident that was misinterpreted and over-sensationalised by two individuals in a powerful position,”
“I recount hints of misogynistic attitudes toward us which alter appeared to be homophobic when they found out we were domestic partners and not just ‘friends.’ Charges were quickly dropped and she was released moments later.”

The accusation of abuse during the trial
Johnny Depp has claimed on various occasions about domestic violence from Heard during the trial. According to court documents obtained by the daily mail, Depp said –
“Several women who have been in a relationship with Ms. Heard have come forward to share their personal experiences of brutal violence and other abuse at the hands of Ms. Heard.”
When Questioned about the same incident of 2009 with Tasya by Depp’s attorney, Amber denied it and said the story was ”planted” after she got a restraining order against Johnny Depp in 2016.
