Besides being spotted in Red Carpets and events, the couple also spoke highly about each other in several public interviews. DDG spoke highly about her when the actress was facing criticism for being cast in The Little Mermaid. Dwayne Granberry Jr. admitted that he was proud of his partner and loved to see her dreams coming true (via People).
“I feel like sometimes I’m even more excited than anybody else. Just seeing it and seeing everything that she dreamed of coming to life, it’s really dope.”
On the other side, the Angel singer also took to her interview with British Vogue to praise the Michigan-born YouTuber and rapper. She acknowledged how the healthy relationship has helped her to excel in her creative field as well.
“Experiencing deep love for the first time in my life is something I feel has opened a whole new world for me creatively. What it feels like to love someone other than your family, like somebody you may not have known two years ago but now they’re the center of your world. Although some problems arose between the two, it was eventually solved. Bailey even agreed to call DDG her real-life Prince Eric. Later DDG also recalled in an interview with The Breakfast Club that nobody motivated him like Halle Bailey.

Halle Bailey broke the internet with the New Year where she revealed that she is now officially a mom. She and DDG are parents to their son Halo. Due to Bailey’s finesse in keeping things private, there were only rumors that the Ariel star might be pregnant, but now it proved to be true. The actress shared an adorable post on Instagram for her son and captioned it:
“Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.. welcome to the world my halo 🥰👼🏽✨the world is desperate to know you 😉🤣♥️”
It is undoubtedly a precious moment for the couple and the fans have showered their love on the Insta post as well. Halle Bailey stated that this was her “first deep, deep, real love” and we hope that the couple can maintain this bond in the forthcoming years as well.
