Actor cum performance artist, and filmmaker, Shia LaBeouf’s love life history is as vast and complex as his career in the industry. If anything, he has been linked with multiple actresses and artists, ever since his career started to date.
But in all honesty, that’s pretty much what fans had expected from someone who once revealed while talking to GQ: “Oh, I’ve been in love with every woman I’ve ever worked with.”
Yet, destiny has its own way of working, and after all these numerous relationships, LaBeouf finally found himself meeting the love of his life, aka someone he would end up marrying.
This was none other than his wife and actress, Mia Goth, who was, notably, yet another one of his co-stars, but one who decided to stick by his side for longer than a couple of dates.

While Shia LaBeouf is famous for having dated quite a few of his co-stars, including Megan Fox — who was his Transformers co-star — for one to count, his needle seemed to stop at his Nymphomaniac film series co-star, Mia Goth.
For those who don’t know, Goth is a British actress, renowned for some of the most critically acclaimed R-rated works, including horror dramas, mysteries, and science fiction like X (2022), Pearl (2022), and Infinity Pool (2023).
As for their dating history, the pair are said to have started dating in December 2012 after having met on the sets of the thriller/mystery film. A little over 3 years later, various reports claimed that the duo got engaged in March 2016, following the massive diamond ring the actress was seen sporting.
This was later confirmed by LaBeouf himself — notably several months later — that the pair had indeed tied the knot together; though “the plan was for it to be a private deal,” as he explained on the Ellen DeGeneres Show in October 2016.
However, even as the “private deal” somehow ended up becoming public as their wedding livestream got accidentally sent to TMZ, the Fury star simply said: “Ya know, it’s love. We’re proud of it. It was love.”
But there was something that was even more news than the fact that LaBeouf and Goth had gotten married: the fact that they didn’t. As shared by the official @ClarkCountyNV handle on X, there was “no marriage license” for the pair, and simply “a commitment ceremony was performed.”
Nonetheless, Shia LaBeouf and Mia Goth never accepted that claim and continued to live as a married couple. …until 2018.
Shia LaBeouf and Mia Goth’s Relationship Underwent Cracks As Well
Two years after the elegant Elvis Presley-themed “wedding” event, Shia LaBeouf and Mia Goth were reported to have filed for a divorce. While no inside details had been revealed about this sudden decision to split up, a rep for the actor is reported to have told People:
“Shia and Mia have filed for divorce. The separation is amicable and all details pertaining to the divorce proceedings will remain private.”
However, what’s worth noting is that this news came after the Holes star was reportedly seen with singer FKA twigs while leaving the latter’s London home together, with both of them dressed in casuals, as reported by the Daily Mail.
This also happened after the pair were working on co-starring in LaBeouf’s then-upcoming film, Honey Boy.
But then two years later, once again, in March 2020, the Nymphomaniac co-stars and estranged lovers were spotted together in Los Angeles, wearing their wedding rings and sparking reconciliation speculation between them.
Since then, the pair have reportedly been on and off in their relationship until January 2022, when Goth was seen sporting a baby bump while photographed hanging out with LaBeouf. Then April 2022 saw the duo pushing a stroller in California, making it evident that Goth had given birth.
Ever since then, both Shia LaBeouf are seemingly happy in their newfound relationship with each other and their baby girl Isabel (as was revealed later by Variety), and are “journeying toward a healthy family with love and mutual respect.”
