When appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the Grown Ups star had another amusing tale to share. She revealed how she suspected her husband of cheating on her after seeing a weird message on his phone.
Salma Hayek Thought She Caught Her Husband Cheating
Salma Hayek is 56 years old but looks as elegant and beautiful as ever. The timeless beauty has been married to her husband, a French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault for 14 years now. The two share an undeniable chemistry and amazing relationship as the illustrious actress often reveals in her candid interview.
Each relationship has its ups and downs, even the most successful ones. Salma Hayek in an interview in 2017, revealed that she thought her husband had been cheating on her with a language coach. However, that was far from the case and the amusing story took a comical turn that had everyone hollering with laughter.
“I’m texting something and I see his phone. And there is this message, ‘Hi, this is Elena. If you want to improve your English, you’ve to practice. Do you wanna practice now?'”
Seeing the text, the actress had her mind buzzing with questions and thought her husband was having an affair. Nonetheless, she decided to drop the matter and told herself that she trusts him no matter what. But four hours later, she finally lost her cool.
“4 hours later, we’re eating and I am acting cool and everything is okay…….. I am eating and I go ‘Who the hell is Elena?’ And he is like ‘I don’t know, must be one of your cousins Elena.’….. You tell that Elena that I speak English, you come practice your English with me.”
Despite Salma Hayek’s outburst, her husband starts laughing only to reveal that it was a language dialect app.
Salma Hayek Once Played An Infedility Prank On Her Husband
While Salma Hayek thought her husband was cheating on her, there was one other time she played an infidelity prank on her husband. In a separate interview with Jimmy Fallon, she revealed her husband had her swear that she would not be adopting any dogs as she already had 8 dogs and almost 20 other animals. However, when she was shooting for a movie in Bulgaria she once again took up another dog.
To have her husband not be mad at her she devised a clever plan. Her plan was to tell her husband that she was having an affair and then by the end reveal that it was a prank and she just had adopted another dog.
“I called him up and said we need to talk……. I said ‘Listen, this breaks my heart to tell you this news and I know I am going to disappoint you, and its really been really hard for me to take up the courage to say this to you.'”
And she went on and on about how sad she felt only for her husband to remark,
“Oh please don’t tell me you picked up another dog!”
And this is why Salma Hayek and her husband remain one of the most underrated yet amusing couples in Hollywood.
