The Joaquin Phoenix-led film Joker received immense love from fans and critics and deserves a sequel. Last year, Todd Phillips shared the news of another installment in the making and fans were too enthusiastic about it. The director posted the screenplay cover with the film’s name i.e Joker: Folie à Deux. But one single piece of news from the Joker 2 team has made the internet go “Gaga”.
Well, as we all know Lady Gaga will be starring alongside Joaquin Phoenix in this musical sequel. She will be playing the role of Joker’s partner in crime, Harley Quinn, and fans cannot wait to see the duo onscreen. Ever since the announcement of Lady Gaga playing Joker’s madness queen has come out, fans can’t wait to see her in Harley Quinn’s role. They also started making many fan arts, by visualizing the Bloody Mary singer as the DC character.
But now an official look of Gaga on the sets of Joker 2 has been making rounds on the internet. She is seen surrounded by a large crowd as the Gotham Police is escorting her. She was seen wearing a red and black outfit along with clown makeup and blonde hair.

A recent video of Lady Gaga kissing a bystander old woman is going viral on the internet. In the video, Harley Quinn is seen walking by the crowd and she notices a woman holding a newspaper. The newspaper has headlines like “crazy in love” along with pictures of the clown couple. She then suddenly comes, kisses the woman on the lips, and walks away. Joker 2 Will Be More Of A Harley Quinn Movie?
According to some sources, it’s known that the film’s sole attention won’t be Joaquin Phoenix’s character. This news was revealed in a Weekly Planet podcast, that the film’s focus will be on Harley Quinn more than Joker. The audience will get to see the film through the eyes of the madness Quinn. The show’s host, James Clement, gave some updates on the upcoming sequel.
”Apparently, Joker 2 isn’t so much a Joker Movie, it’s a Harley Quinn. It’s from Harley Quinn’s perspective. And the reason it’s musical is, that’s how she perceives her relationship with Joker.”
Many cast members of the first film will be reprising their roles in the new film. The cast of Joker: Folie à Deux includes Joaquin Phoenix as Joker, Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn, Zazie Beetz as Sophie, Brendan Gleeson, Jacob Lofland, Harry Lawtey, Catherine Keener, and others. The film will be directed by Todd Phillips and is co-written by Scott Silver.
Joker: Folie à Deux will arrive in theatres on October 4th, 2024.
