The comedic timing and the jokes present in the series are iconic in so many ways, and the rest of the cast does an excellent job of bringing life to the show.

Recently, fans discussed some of the most hilarious lines from the entire series on Reddit. While many would expect the entire conversation to simply be full of dialogue from Chandler, this was not the case.

FRIENDS—The One Where Ross Got High

In the ninth episode of season six of FRIENDS, there is an entire sequence of Ross and Monica revealing their secrets to their parents. Although the whole scene is hilarious in every way, one fan isolated the line where Ross reveals to their parents that Monica is living with Chandler. The line comes out of nowhere and is clearly an attempt at finding some kind of leverage over his sister.

However, it ends up transforming into something heartwarming. Due to this, the line is timeless in every way possible and continues to stay funny, even decades after its release.

The One With Joey’s New Brain

In the fifteenth episode of season seven of FRIENDS, there is a very hilarious moment between Chandler and Monica that has been mentioned by fans to be iconic. Ross reveals to the couple that he has a surprise for their wedding, which happens to be him learning how to play the bagpipes. Only, he is horrible at it, and the couple ends up finding out because of just how loudly and badly he plays them.

The reason Ross picked bagpipes was because Chandler is part Scottish, which prompts Monica to ask him, in frustration, why he had to be Scottish. As a revert, Chandler asks her why her family had to be Ross. One can imagine why fans put forth this instance as one of the most hilarious moments in the series.

The One Where Everyone Finds Out

The fourteenth episode of season five is iconic in many ways. It is when everyone of the friends, other than Joey, finds out that Monica and Chandler are together. The reactions that all of the characters have are very different in the most hilarious ways possible. Where Rachel is surprised but keeps it hidden, Ross gets angry, and Joey is frustrated that he has to keep a secret.

However, it was Phoebe’s reaction that was the most hilarious out of all of them. She and Rachel were helping Ross get a new apartment, which happened to be right next door to Monica’s place. Unfortunately, thanks to this, Phoebe ended up spotting Chandler and Monica getting intimate while staring out her window.

Oh! Chandler and Monica! Chandler and Monica! Oh, my eyes! My eyes! They’re doing it!

Her reaction to two of her closest friends getting it on has not only become a meme but also goes down as one of the funniest scenes in the series, as a whole.

The One With the Jellyfish

In the first episode of season four, there are several iconic moments. One of the most significant moments between Rachel and Ross, however, has to be when they get back together for a brief point—when Rachel thinks that he read her letter and Ross pretends like he did. After it was revealed that he had, in fact, not read the letter, the pair got into a heated fight where they were throwing insults at each other.

you had rambled on for eighteen pages. FRONT AND BACK! Oh, no-no-no, don’t you worry about me falling asleep. I still have your letter!

Ross points out the sheer length of her letter and how it was very boring for him to read. He even went as far as to say that it put him to sleep. David Schwimmer’s line delivery in that moment made the scene all the more hilarious. It is not surprising that fans picked it to be an addition to the list.

The One with Monica’s Thunder

In the first episode of season seven of FRIENDS, Joey is auditioning for a commercial that requires him to be nineteen years old. In reality, he is not even close to that age, and the entire group recognizes that he is unlikely to get the part. When Chandler goes back to his place, he is met with Joey, who is dressed like a nineteen-year-old from his time.

Since no one looks or talks like that anymore, he got the opportunity to be the butt of Chandler’s jokes. Knowing how beloved the scene is, it is not surprising that fans think it to be one of the best in the entire series.

FRIENDS is available for streaming on Netflix.
