Bad Boys 4 stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are officially reuniting for another action-packed comedy adventure. The untitled sequel is in its early production under Sony Pictures, with directing duo Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah to helm the film based on Chris Bremner’s script.
The buddy cop film premiered in 1995 and has since then amassed fans all over the world. Bad Boys 4 has been brewing in the studio for so long until Smith and Lawrence confirmed the go signal on Tuesday.

Will Smith And Martin Lawrence Will Return For ‘Bad Boys 4’
It took a long time before the fourth installment finally settled with the directors and writers. On social media, Smith posted a video while driving to Lawrence’s house to make the announcement.
“Yo, I’ve got an announcement. Y’all better stop scrolling. I wish I was you, not knowing what I’m about to show me. It’s about that time! Bad boys for life baby.”
In the background, fans could hear the opening tune of “Shake Ya Tailfeather” by Nelly, P. Diddy, and Murphy Lee, the soundtrack of Bad Boys II.
In July, Lawrence revealed in an interview with Ebony magazine that there is at least one more film for the franchise. There had been speculations surrounding the fate of the movie due to the controversial slapping that happened at the 2022 Oscars involving Smith.
“We got one more at least. For us to come together and prove that we can deliver, and we can pull people into the box office — that two Black stars, two sitcom stars, could make money at the box office [was huge].”
Bad Boys grossed over $141 million worldwide, while Bad Boys II earned $273 million. Bad Boys for Life garnered $426.5 million overall. The previous film reunited Smith and Lawrence 25 years after their first collaboration.
The fourth installment will be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Smith for Westbrook, Doug Belgrad, and Chad Oman. Meanwhile, Lawrence, James Lassiter, Mike Stenson, Barry Waldman, and Jon Mone will serve as executive producers.

Some of these franchises they literally need to just bury the hatchet. They make 4 movies that should have stopped after the first. And then they don't make ones of the ones that everyone wanted sequels to

Sure why not? 3 garbage movies, why not make a fourth one…

Damn. The last one was fucking awful

Will Smith is making a huge comeback after the infamous incident that tarnished his image in 2022. He recently appeared in Antoine Fuqua’s Emancipation as the lead character, and now, he’s bringing back the 90s feel in the upcoming Bad Boys 4.
