When we speak of Hollywood’s nicest guys, we always consider Keanu Reeves at the top of the list. But right now, the John Wick actor seems to have strong competition from the Poor Things star Willem Dafoe. Following an interview with The Guardian, Dafoe made a confession that propelled him to the soft corner in fans’ hearts.
During his recent interview, Willem Dafoe noted taking a forced break after 150 movies and finding a new passion in animal farming. Following his detailed confession, the veteran actor gave Keanu Reeves a run for his money in Hollywood’s ‘nicest guy’ debate.

Keanu Reeves Faces Strong Competition From Willem Dafoe
Following his inception in Hollywood, Keanu Reeves has successfully maintained his image as a gentleman and the nicest guy in the entertainment industry. While several actors came out as opportunists and faced a number of lawsuits on different cases, Reeves maintained his position through the decades.
Never sparking controversies and often staying away from headline-making situations, Keanu Reeves etched himself in fans’ hearts as a perfect gentleman. However, as per the latest updates, there seems to be a rise in competition for The Matrix actor, following Willem Dafoe’s recent interview.
Despite holding the tag of Hollywood’s ‘nicest guy’ for years, Willem Dafoe seems to give Keanu Reeves a run for his money after his latest confession. Speaking with The Guardian, the veteran actor noted a heartwarming story that propelled him to the soft corner in fans’ hearts.
Willem Dafoe’s Confession Turned Him into Hollywood’s Nicest Guy
Speaking with the outlet, Willem Dafoe confessed how after working in 150 movies, he was forced to take a break for four months, due to the actors’ strike. But somehow, despite being passionate about his acting profession, the break didn’t hurt him much, mainly because of his small farm. “I never know how much to talk about this. Basically, let’s say, I was a gentleman farmer.” Dafoe began.
Apart from his vegetable garden just outside Rome, Willem Dafoe noted having “lots of animals” on the farm, irrespective of never having pets in his life. And quite obviously he has now grown attached to those animals and he seemingly likes their company.
“I’m basically a vegetarian, so I do it just for the pleasure of their company and to try to give them a good life, which is a little naive.”

Lighting up the internet a few months back, with a picture of him and Mark Ruffalo with a baby alpaca, Willem Dafoe went ahead to discuss the qualities of the beautiful creature.
“Each one is very distinct. With sheep and goats, some you know well, some have names and they really stick, but some are just sheep and goats. But every alpaca, you have a whole particular relationship with, and you know their character.”
