What did Rhys Frake-Waterfield say in the interview?

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Rhys Frake-Waterfield who was present with Scott Jeffrey, he produces low-budget horror films under the banner name of Jagged Edged Productions. Scott Jeffrey also revealed that they are also working on the sequel of Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey, and in the sequel they will be featuring the deer we all love, Bambi. He revealed that the movie will be called Bambi: The Reckoning, and in the movie Bambi would be an unhinged vicious killing machine. Moreover, Rhys Frake-Waterfield revealed that the movie he created is expected to be in the same universe so that there can be crossovers in the near future. Here’s what Rhys Frake-Waterfield said:

“The idea is that we’re going to try and imagine they’re all in the same world, so we can have crossovers. People have been messaging saying they really want to see Bambi versus Pooh.”

“There are many, many, many other ideas out there which aren’t tied to Disney, loads of old fairytales and urban legends, concepts that are synonymous with your childhood, and they’re the ones which I want to build up into a twisted alternative reality.”

It would be interesting in which direction Rhys Frake-Waterfield would go once he is done adapting the Disney stories, as there are countless children’s stories that can be adapted into either horror films or gory slasher movies that would be thrilling and entertaining to watch. But before he goes in a different direction the fans would love to see what Rhys Flake-Waterfield would do in Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare.

Is Peter Pan Wholesome?

Tinkerbell

Even though many people believe that Peter Pan is a wholesome character who loves to have fun, and is depicted as a carefree and mischievous boy. There are a number of instances in the films as well as in the original play by J.M. Barries. One of the most disturbing elements shown is how Peter Pan tends to lure children away from their homes to Neverland, where he keeps them captive and uses them to accompany him in his dangerous adventures.

Sometimes, Peter Pan can be insensitive and cruel, as he is more concerned about having fun and fulfilling his needs, this was evident in the film as well as in the play by J.M. Barries. Moreover, the residents of Neverland are seeped in racism and have a colonialist attitude.
