Post-credit scenes usually hold a huge weight from a story standpoint in the MCU. While The Marvels debuted with a 60% score on Rotten Tomatoes, the film’s post-credit scene featured a wild cameo.

According to a November 08, 2023 report by GQ, the audience will see two characters make an appearance in the post-credit scene. First, they will see a different variant of Maria, Monica Rambeau’s mother.
Considering Earth 616’s variant of Maria died due to cancer after the iconic snap, Monica is utterly shocked by her appearance. This version of Maria is Binary. After Maria, the Beast enters the room.
Yes, the allegedly same Beast, last seen in X-Men: Days of Future Past. It will be official confirmation of Fox’s universe of Marvel characters finally being included in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
But what does it mean for the future of the MCU? Well, it gives fire to one of the most well-accepted theories about Avengers: Secret Wars in the fandom.

MCU and Fox’s Universe to Collide Following Crazy Post-Credit Scene from The Marvels?
Deadpool 3 will finally bring Ryan Reynolds’ iconic character to the MCU. While the biggest point of attraction for the movie is the comeback of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, there may be something much bigger at stake in the film.
If the Beast is indeed Fox’s version of the character, it could mean that Deadpool may wipe out all Marvel characters of that universe.
But that’s just scratching the surface. The Beast mentioned that Charles wanted an update that could bring back Patrick Stewart’s Professor X to the MCU.
All things considered, the premise for the Multiverse Saga is set. Considering the original comic book storyline features the collision of Earth 616’s Marvel Universe with the Ultimate Marvel Universe, the MCU may be trying to replace the latter with Fox’s Marvel Universe.
However, there’s always the possibility that the MCU is simply misleading fans to reveal a huge event in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. That could become the building block for Avengers: Secret Wars.
