A source recently explained that Tom Cruise can’t stay married because he is a “bossy egomaniac.” The source said,
“Tom would love to have someone in his life, but the truth is his reputation just isn’t great. He really worked hard to hang on to Hayley. But his controlling ways got too much for her — and she ended it. Women find him way too intense and he’s turned into Hollywood’s least eligible bachelor. The whole Scientology thing is a turnoff for most women, and he can’t exactly downplay it. He’s very committed to it.”
The actor was romantically linked to his Mission: Impossible 7 co-star, Hayley Atwell. However, it was revealed in September 2021 that the duo have ended their one-year-long relationship.
Tom Cruise’s controlling nature makes him the least eligible bachelor
The source explained that Cruise is quite controlling. He reportedly sees his partner as “an extension” of him. The source revealed,
“To him, any partner is an extension of him — and his brand — so he’s known to be very micromanaging — down to what clothes they can wear when they’re out with him.”
As per the source, Hayley Atwell left the actor due to his controlling nature. This may have happened in the past as well, as the actor has been through three failed marriages and several failed relationships.
