Over the years, the Dune star has gradually become more popular and is now among the big names in the world of Hollywood. To succeed in WWE and Hollywood, one must be special, and Bautista has proved that he has what it takes. His role in Guardians of the Galaxy propelled him to mainstream fame.

Unfortunately, his life has not been all pleasant. He had a rough childhood that was full of traumatic events. And while the 54-year-old has made a name in the Hollywood industry, he had a tragic life and regrets the things he has done in the past.

Dave Bautista entered the ring in the 2000s and reached greater heights as a wrestler. He made an animalistic WWE image, he decided to try out something different. The WWE star went on to become a part of Hollywood. He landed parts in films like Blade Runner 2049, Guardians of the Galaxy, Army of the Dead, and Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery.

The wrestler-turned-actor once confessed that he struggled to maintain self-control around ladies while he was a professional wrestler. He didn’t openly accept having extramarital affairs, but his addiction has caused damage to his relationships. With rumors linking him to women like Layla El and Rosa Mendes, Bautista even gained a reputation for having s*x with many of the WWE Divas.

The star is open about the time he spent womanizing while wrestling. He said,

“I didn’t drink or do drugs. Women were my drug of choice. I would have 10, 20, or 30 girls throwing themselves at me. I wasn’t equipped to handle it. So I took advantage.”

Although the 54-year-old didn’t have drinking and drug addiction, he did indeed have his vices.

Bautista cleaned up his act not long after this realization of wanting to be a good role model for his daughters. He said,

“I don’t have a lot of regrets in my life and I haven’t been an angel. But if I could change anything, it’d be the chapter with all the women. It hurt the people I love.”

The 54-year-old star has two daughters Keilani Bautista and Athena Bautista.

Bautista grew up in a violent neighborhood after being born in Washington, D.C., in 1969. The Marvel actor witnessed deaths in front of his eyes. But his mother got him the out of that neighborhood, as they shifted to San Francisco. The Bautista family was not a very secure setting for the young star either. His father, a hairstylist, wasn’t there.

His mother, Donna Ray’s traditional Greek-American family disapproved of her, in part because she openly dated women and in part because she had liberal political views. She spent the day caring for her children and the evenings working in a business processing pictures. Due to the family’s extreme poverty, they would use cardboard to strengthen their shoes to keep their feet dry.

Despite all the struggles, the 54-year-old had made a name in the Hollywood industry and even in wrestling.
