Call of Duty is one of the most popular gaming franchises to ever exist and the developers are taking full advantage of the popularity. More mainstream content like television series are now recognizing the talent of motion capture actors and there is one particular that fans are delighted to see.
Amazon Prime Video recently released the first three episodes of the fourth season of The Boys and introduced a new character Elliot Knight who happens to be Gaz in the reboot trilogy of Modern Warfare. The fans were delighted to see another actor from the franchise make it to live-action.
Gaz From Call of Duty Is Now in an Amazon Prime Video Show
The game developers rebooted the Modern Warfare trilogy and gave the beloved characters more depth and material to work with. Despite the lackluster quality of the more recent Call of Duty campaigns, there is a lot to behold. Among them are the advanced physics and graphics and the endearing performances of the actors. Some actors have been allowed to shine in other mediums, opening the door for more to follow.
The fourth season of The Boys just started and the gaming community is delighted to see a well-known face in the game industry make his live-action debut. It is worth noting that Claudia Doumit who is one of the main antagonists of the show voiced and performed motion capture for Farah, one of the supporting characters of the reboot trilogy and some are beginning to see a pattern of the actor putting in a good word for a friend.
Perhaps Knight was able to bag the role for a job well done during the auditions and it is a coincidence for these two actors to work alongside a new project. Regardless, it is a treat for fans of the gaming franchise to see a talented actor get what he deserves which is another shot to grow and hone Knight’s talents as a performer.
The Call of Duty Franchise Is Stacked With Talented People
Doumit’s performance as Neuman gave the character depth and the ability to work on multiple projects released around the same time. Her flexible schedule and artistic range played a huge part in making both franchises work.
Actors have the rare opportunity to appear in different projects and some fans were able to identify Knight is a testament to his memorable performance in the games. Perhaps more will leap in the future.
Amazon Prime Video has done an exceptional job with the casting and has yet to drop the ball. Doumit and Knight could pave the way to welcome more voice actors into live-action.
