Following Sony’s slate for their upcoming Marvel entries, one of their most ambitious live-action project, Venom 3 has once again created an immense buzz with the inclusion of Chiwetel Ejiofor. Considering that the actor is not new to the world of Superheroes and has been playing the part of Mordo in the MCU, his inclusion in the Venom threequel has aroused some interesting speculations.
Although it has been confirmed that Sony’s Venom universe is part of the MCU multiverse, there haven’t been any reports if fans could once again witness Tom Hardy’s character back in the MCU. However, the inclusion of Ejiofor has led some to believe that this might end up being the case.
Chiwetel Ejiofor’s inclusion in Venom 3 sparks rumors about Venom 3‘s crossover with MCU
After reprising the role of Baron Mordo in Doctor Strange 2, Chiwetel Ejiofor is now set to star in Sony’s ambitious project, as they are adamant about crafting their cinematic universe. Although it hasn’t been specified if the actor will be reprising the role of Mordo or if Sony will be taking a completely different direction, some fans believe his inclusion might have to deal with the MCU.
Even though nothing major has been confirmed about the upcoming movie’s storyline, the inclusion of Ejiofor has led fans to speculate that Venom 3 might end up being another multiversal crossover.

Although there hasn’t been any official confirmation about the role that Chiwetel Ejiofor will be playing in the threequel, the movie might also end up being Tom Hardy’s last stint as Eddie Brock.

Even though the Venom movies aren’t the most critically acclaimed Marvel films, they did manage to win over Marvel fans, thanks to Tom Hardy‘s incredible performance. It’s obvious that Hardy had a blast making the first movie and it was visible through his performance and even though the movie itself wasn’t that strong, Hardy’s performance overcomes the film’s flaws.
But with the actor set to reprise the role in the threequel, this might be the last time we see The Dark Knight Rises actor in the fun role, as previously he hinted towards Venom 3 being his last. Although the actor hasn’t officially confirmed it, back in 2022, he posted a story of Venom 3’s script cover with a “last dance” sticker, implying that the franchise might end as a trilogy.
Although fans are now waiting for any major update regarding the threequel, they will hope that Venom 3 would end up being the best entry in the franchise after the disappointing sequel.
No release date for Venom 3 has been made official.
