It has been a busy few days for WWE fans, as there has been a new trailer released for the next game in the franchise, which will be WWE 2K24, and there has also been a new streaming deal that has been finalized with streaming giant Netflix.
All of this is amazing news, as gamers and wrestling fans all around the world will be able to enjoy WWE in a whole new way. So far, there is only a small amount of information that has been released about the upcoming WWE 2K24 game, but the streaming deal has had a rather large amount of information released about it, and wrestling fans are over the moon.
What Has Been Announced During the WWE 2K24 Trailer?
As of yesterday, the official WWE YouTube channel released a brand-new trailer for the upcoming WWE 2K24, and from the look of it, wrestling fans will have a lot of good news when it comes to the future of the wrestling gaming franchises.
During the recent trailer, gamers were shown a few clips of the upcoming game and some of the wrestlers that will be featured in the game. One thing that stood out within the trailer is the fact that the upcoming title will feature the past 40 years’ worth of WWE.
This will include some of the most memorable fights that took place in WWE, as well as wrestlers from over the decades for the players to enjoy. There will also be new modes for players to take part in within the game and a whole new career mode experience.
And that’s not all, as those who pre-order the game will also gain access to both the male and female WWE rosters, along with the 40-year WrestleMania roster. There will also be some extra content for those who order the standard edition of the game or higher, which provides gamers with four playable superstars from the Nightmare Family Pack and three MyFaction Cards.
This is also a good sign for the future of the franchise, especially after the recent break, as the developers are returning to their roots and will be returning to their classic form rather than just continuing with what they have been releasing over the past few years.
What Deal Have Netflix and WWE Agreed on Regarding Streaming, and How Will It Revolutionise Sports Broadcasting?
As of today, Netflix has managed to finalize a deal with WWE to have Netflix stream the future World Wrestling Entertainment Raw on January 25th, which will allow wrestling fans to stream the event from the comfort of their own homes.
This new deal will last for the next 10+ years, which will put Raw on Netflix owner’s accounts for years in numerous different countries like the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Latin America, and more, and there will be even more content over those years
Along with the Raw show that will be available on Netflix in January of this year, there will also be other WWE shows and specials such as Smackdown and pay-per-view shows like WrestleMania and The Royal Rumble, which were originally exclusive to the US.
Since Netflix is such a major streaming company and has created many different shows throughout the years, it would make sense that it would team up with one of the biggest televised sports in the world in what will be one of the biggest streaming deals of recent years.
Thanks to this new deal, wrestling will become a lot more available for everyone around the world, and hopefully, it will bring in a whole new host of fans for the sport. Especially with the new game coming around the corner and its return to its past as it looks back over the last 40 years, it is probably the best time to jump into the franchise and become a wrestling fan.
