James Marsden, one of the nominees for Best Supporting Actor – Television at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards for Jury Duty, shared a heartwarming message from his mother on his Instagram stories. In the text, his mother expressed her pride and joy upon seeing her son among the nominees, saying,

“My favorite moment of tonight was when they had your picture up with the other 5 nominees. Just like I’ve seen all my life of different nominee pics all together like that. And I [am] saying to myself — my son is one of the 6 chosen and there he is up on the tv screen next to the other nominees. MY son did that. I can’t quit smiling.”

Marsden shared the screenshot of her text on his Instagram stories with a caption that said, “My mom, I love you,” accompanied by a red heart emoji. Despite losing the Golden Globe to Succession star Matthew Macfadyen, the 50-year-old actor graciously acknowledged the support from his mother.
