Brian Cox is seen in projects like X2, Troy, and the recently released critically acclaimed series Succession. What did Brian Cox say about Steven Seagal?

The Half Past Dead actor doesn’t hold a very nice impression on the eyes of Brian Cox. The Logan Roy actor worked with Steven Seagal in The Glimmer Man which he probably wants to forget about. The movie was bashed by critics who criticized it heavily and the thriller even turned out to be a disaster at the box office.

In his autobiography titled Putting the Rabbit in the Hat, Brian Cox shared his perspective on many notable Hollywood names such as Steven Seagal, Johnny Depp, Edward Norton, Quentin Tarantino, and many others. In his statement about the 71-year-old martial artist, Cox said:

“Steven Seagal is as ludicrous in real life as he appears on screen. He radiates a studied serenity, as though he’s on a higher plane to the rest of us, and while he’s certainly on a different plane, no doubt about that, it’s probably not a higher one.”

Brian Cox isn’t the only The Glimmer Man co-actor who showed a negative reception to Seagal’s working process. Stephen Tobolowsky who played Christopher Maynard in the 1996 movie revealed that Steven Seagal caused problems in the production when he refused to follow the script. As described by Tobolowsky, the actor suddenly admitted that he no longer wanted to kill any character in his movies. This delayed the filming as it was necessary for the plot to kill Maynard.
