When Black Ops 6 finally releases in a few months, it will become the second Call of Duty game to join the Game Pass catalog, following the release of Modern Warfare 3 tomorrow.
Microsoft’s plan is to gradually add each title from this franchise, as well as others from Activision, to the service’s game-filled catalog. This is one of the reasons the company recently decided to raise the price.
Fans are quite confident that this strategy will work and that the service’s catalog will continue to grow to offer the best possible games in the future. One of the changes Microsoft made when raising the price was to give users the option to choose a plan according to their preferences.
For example, one of these plans will not allow the player to access all titles on day 1, but only the service’s standard catalog.
On the other hand, once Black Ops 6 arrives on the service, it will be a turning point because it could finally attract all the users Microsoft has been hoping to gain in recent years.
Game Pass could set a new record if this strategy of having such a highly requested game on day 1 works. So far, the highest number the company has reached is around 30 million active players on the service.
