Despite Microsoft’s recent decision to permanently close the Xbox 360 store, it appears that Xbox Game Pass will continue to add games from this platform, allowing players to relive all the nostalgia. A recent response on social media by the company’s vice president gave players hope that these kinds of experiences will return.
This interaction took place on the official Video Game History account, which posted a picture of Call of Duty Black Ops and Halo Reach during a pizza-fueled gaming night like in the good old days.
The 360 Classics Are Coming to Xbox Game Pass, According to the Companyโs Vice President, Aaron Greenberg
Microsoft is experiencing one of its worst years in terms of layoffs and studio closures related to its gaming division. Still, the company invests heavily in video games, even if it makes controversial decisions.
Game Pass is the main pillar that the company wants to grow at all costs. On X, a recent response from the company’s vice president gives players hope for some changes that may be coming.
The popular X account known as Video Game History posted about a Friday night with an Xbox 360, Call of Duty Black Ops, Halo Reach, and pizza.
We are trying to recreate that history again today with Game Pass. Still gotta BYOP (bring your own pizza)! ๐๐๐ฎ

Aaron Greenberg, VP at the company, responded to this post, saying that with Game Pass, this will be possible again very soon. This is quite positive, considering that the 360 store recently closed and players can no longer purchase titles for that console.
Black Ops and Halo Reach Could Be Playable Thanks to Game Pass
These types of responses and interactions from the company’s higher-ups send a clear message to the community that they should expect all kinds of older games to come to Xbox Game Pass at any moment.
Players would love to see games like Call of Duty Black Ops and Halo Reach available on this service to play online with their friends and reminisce about the old days when these titles were new.
Obviously, many users joked with the vice president, saying they just wanted pizza, but this news is even more positive for those who want to experience these kinds of games again in the service’s vast catalog.
So far, Microsoft has not provided information about what their next move will be regarding the entire 360 game catalog that was available for purchase before the closure. Many players anticipate that Microsoft will simply add these games to Game Pass in the upcoming months.
The company’s strategy has been to grow this service by offering all kinds of releases and acquiring one studio after another. This is why, for the first time in its history, the service will receive the next Call of Duty Black Ops 6 on launch day, which will arrive in November on all platforms.
This will be a critical test for the company, which wants to increase the number of users of this service at all costs, as they are currently at a plateau they cannot surpass.
