There’s no doubt that 2024 has already proven to be a strong year for Xbox Game Pass in terms of new releases. While some fans are upset about the price hikes and switching major day-one releases to Game Pass Ultimate-exclusive, others are loving the regular release of high-quality games.

It seems like Microsoft is in no mood to slow down quality game releases! The company has confirmed that three new games will be hitting Xbox Game Pass on August 8, which are definitely an incredible addition for the fans of the classic games.

Xbox Game Pass Confirms Three New Games

A new month has kicked off, and for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, that means a new set of exciting titles has now been revealed for the Microsoft service. While August looks to be quite a slow start, with just three games to debut, it’s not surprising. The community knew all about these titles ahead of time through official announcements and leaks.

Still, the sheer quality of the games we’ll be seeing on Game Pass is pretty strong and should make a lot of fans happy.

Creatures of Ava was initially revealed at the Xbox Partner Preview Showcase back in March and will be available to play on its launch day. In the game, players control Vic, a young woman who tames wild creatures who are suffering from an infection. The gameplay resembles the hit game Palworld a lot.

The confirmation of Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy should be good news for other Activision-published games. After Microsoft acquired the studio last year, Activision Games have been quite slow to come to Game Pass, but it seems like the dam is finally breaking.

Mafia: Definitive Edition is also another incredible addition for Game Pass subscribers! The original game hit the shelves in 2004, with the remake coming in 2020. While we wait for GTA 6, it’s the perfect alternative to jump in and experience.

With Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 hitting Xbox Game Pass on day one, and now the likes of such classic and new games also joining the service, it feels like there’s never been a better time to subscribe to Microsoft’s popular service.

Could Crash Bandicoot Be Microsoft’s Attempt to Save Game Pass?

Well, gaining access to three new games on the service, and particularly remade Crash Bandicoot, sounds like an incredible deal. As we’re witnessing more and more of Activision’s titles pop up on the subscription service, it makes us wonder whether or not these games are responsible for the recent price hike.

Given that Microsoft has released high-profile hits such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 on the service right after the price, many in the community believe that might be the cause.

Microsoft is likely trying to justify the increased price of Game Pass by adding more popular games such as Crash Bandicoot and Mafia. However, it remains to be seen whether these titles will be enough to satisfy customers who are growing weary of Xbox’s business models.

These games will, in doubt, be a massive bonus for Game Pass subscribers, but when they come with a heftier price tag, they suddenly don’t feel worth it.
