It has been a while since the release of Bethesda’s Starfield, with thousands of players actively exploring the vast and exciting galaxy that was put before them, but now many gamers are eagerly awaiting the next step in their space exploration fantasy.

Luckily for those players, the wait may not be as long as they thought, as the next step in Starfield’s journey might be around the corner with its expansion, Shattered Space. At the time of writing, there isn’t a set release date for this expansion, but with the Xbox Summer Showcase just around the corner, there is potential for a trailer to be released that will provide us with some details.

After the release of Starfield, gamers were left to their own devices to explore the galaxy while they waited for the next set of content that would come with the expansion Shattered Space. Luckily for those players, they might not have to wait too long for this expansion.

Looking back at Bethesda’s track record, many of its games receive an expansion rather quickly if one is to be released, with expansions like Dawnguard for Skyrim taking only 7 months and Automatron for Fallout 4 only taking 5 months.

So far, this expansion looks to be one of the longest wait times from Bethesda, but many gamers believe that this is a good thing rather than a negative one. But it does make people wonder whether or not we will get a trailer before its release.

At the moment, the likeliest of times for a trailer for this expansion would probably be during the Xbox Summer Showcase on June 9th, which will hopefully reveal some of the new content that we will be able to access once this expansion drops.

Bethesda Is Clearly Working Hard on This Expansion and Is Taking Its Time to Make It Right

Shattered Space could be revealed on June 9th at Xbox's Summer Showcase.

As stated above, gamers are used to Bethesda releasing content for its games in a timely fashion, whether it be small or large. However, this expansion seems to be a change of pace for the studio, as it breaks its record by being one of the longest expansions to be developed by the studio, especially with such a large team working on it.

However, this can be considered a good thing, as the longer Bethesda takes on this expansion, the better chance it has to become something great with plenty of refined content for players to enjoy, as the promise of new planets, new weapons, a new story, and more is a lot to live up to.

Unfortunately, Bethesda is well known for having many glitches within its games, whether they be something as simple as a space shark flying through a city or enemies being faster and stronger than intended, so it is safe to say that it is working hard to ensure this expansion meets a better standard than some of its predecessors.

What do you think about Bethesda taking its time on Starfield’s Shattered Space? Are you looking forward to more content? Let us know in the comments what you think!
