Celebrities’ personal lives have always piqued our interest, with their relationship problems often making headlines. Divorces in the entertainment industry can be heartbreaking and messy, but they can also take unexpected turns. One such complicated twist took place when Kelsey Grammer had a very contentious divorce from his third wife, Camille Donatacci. In case you did not know, she is a model, dancer, actress, and TV personality.
Even a lot happened between this ex-couple. Previously, NBC’s Cheers star revealed that he had landed a highly sought-after spot on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for his ex-wife as a “parting gift”.
Recognized for his performance as Dr. Hank McCoy/Beast in the superhero films The Marvels, X-Men: Days of Future Past, and The Last Stand, Grammer has made appearances on several talk shows, discussing his turbulent relationship with Donatacci. Having met in 1996 on a blind date, they got married in 1997.
Kelsey Grammer Left a ‘Parting Gift’ for Ex-Wife Camille Donatacci
Camille Donatacci’s marriage to Kelsey Grammer guaranteed her spot on Bravo’s reality TV show, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. And, according to the Frasier actor, it was his stardom that brought her there.
Grammer had a conversation with Piers Morgan about his last years of marital strife in a CNN interview. Before even The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, it appears that his ex-wife was chasing fame. In 2010, Donatacci made her television debut on the reality series RHOBH. The first season aired shortly after the couple’s split became public knowledge. The show served as the 30 Rock actor’s “parting gift” to Donatacci, as he explained in his interview with Morgan.
Speaking of her former wife, Grammer, 68, said:
“You’ve always wanted to be famous. Here you go.”
Though Grammer hinted that he assisted his wife in landing the series as a gift, she did not share the same views. She remained “preoccupied in California while he was off having his affair in New York,” according to the TV personality, who told the New York Post (via Us Weekly).

Camille Donatacci Addressed The Divorce In Rhobh Season’s Final Episodes
Camille Donatacci opened up about her divorce from Kelsey Grammer on the season finale of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (via HuffPost). As the action unfolded over a tense scene in the dramatic episode, she opened up about how she felt about the split:
“It’s almost like the death of a relative or a loved one…this profound loss, its an intense feeling of loneliness. It’s a much different scenario when you’re married to a celebrity because when you get divorced its not a private divorce, the world knows. I thought this would be a good positive thing for him, to go do a play on Broadway, but I never thought that he would leave me.”
According to PopSugar, Grammer’s infidelity was the reason for the divorce. He made an acquaintance with flight attendant Kayte Walsh while he was in New York and they started dating. Even though they have two children, Grammer and Donatacci’s relationship is strained.
According to PEOPLE, in 2019, the former called his ex-wife “pathetic” and claimed that she had aggressively denied his request for a divorce on the day of his mother’s funeral.
The affair that sparked their messy public divorce resulted in wedded bliss for the actor. Kelsey Grammer married Kayte Walsh only two weeks after the dissolution of his third marriage. He and Walsh are parents to three kids.
