Kelly Sue DeConnick, the American comic book writer worked in creating Ms. Marvel to Captain Marvel in 2012. The writer has an iconic quote that if everything from a female character would have been taken away and replaced with a sexy lamp and it still works, then the comics are wrong.

“If you can take out your female character and replace her with a sexy lamp and your plot still functions, you’re doing it wrong.”

To top off the quote, Brie Larson had once been warned to walk out of the building if she had been offered to wear a leotard for her role as Captain Marvel (via Time).

The upcoming MCU movie will allegedly be a game changer for the MCU and is set for a release date of 10 November 2023 in theaters across the world.
