When someone is making so many different characters, they are bound to have a favorite. While many would assume that Lee’s favorite character was someone like Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man, or any version of Spider-Man, the answer is surprisingly different.

Stan Lee and Hugh Jackman’s First Interaction

Stan Lee is a legend in every definition of the word. He has been immortalized in the world of Hollywood and spent his life creating so many pieces of substance that he was at the center of the MCU. With the release of Deadpool & Wolverine being right around the corner, Josh Horowitz managed to find one of the most important pieces of Marvel media of all time—the first time Hugh Jackman and Stan Lee met. Even though the Wolverine actor was one of the most important parts of the universe they were creating with 20th Century Fox, it wasn’t until the release of X-Men Origins: Wolverine that the two finally met.

However, the interaction is priceless in every way. Being present at the Comic-Con before the release of the film, Jackman decided to photobomb a picture that Lee was taking with someone. Suddenly realizing who had just approached him, the comic book writer turned to the actor and began to tell him how big of a fan he was of his.

It would also seem that he initially thought that it would be Wolverine’s stunt double who had approached him. However, as soon as he realized that it was Jackman himself, his demeanor changed completely. It is extremely precious to witness two legends meet for the very first time. However, their interaction only got better.

Hugh Jackman Got Stan Lee’s Favor

After turning to Hugh Jackman and talking to him for a second, Stan Lee quickly dropped some of the most significant words for a Marvel fan. The legend named the Wolverine as his favorite superhero of all time. It was unclear if he meant the actor in the role was his favorite out of all other superheroes or if Wolverine was his favorite comic character of all time.
