Even before his stint in Two and a Half Men, Charlie Sheen had several well-acclaimed movies under his belt. For instance, his performance in hits like Wall Street, Eight Men Out, and Young Guns was well received. But the actor wanted to try something different and entered the television genre in 2000 when he replaced Michael J. Fox in Spin City.

After this, he was cast as Charlie Harper in Two and a Half Men, playing a character that quite literally paralleled his own life. He went on to play the role for eight long seasons and was also earning approximately $1.8 million per episode. But his drug and alcohol addiction, coupled with his erratic behavior on set, led to him being fired from the show.

This led the actor to publicly slam and criticize the showrunner Chuck Lorre, even going as far as to call him a “stupid, stupid little man.” While the feud between Sheen and Lorre continued for more than a decade, the duo reconnected again when Lorre asked him to play a fictional character of himself in his 2023 show Bookie.

You can stream all the seasons of Two and a Half Men on Peacock.
